Handsworth Medical Practice 

Handsworth Medical Practice in Sheffield serves the S13 district, which includes Handsworth, Woodhouse, Richmond, Stradbroke and a section of Darnall that is Sheffield S9.

Please be aware that to be registered with the Practice you will need to be in our Practice boundary area within the locations listed above.

Our team includes 6 Doctors, a Practice Manager, 3 Nurses, 3 Healthcare Assistants, a Practice Pharmacist, and our Reception and Administrative staff. We are a Training Practice where qualified junior doctors can finish their Training, these are known as GP Registrars.

We offer a full general practice service and run numerous clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes, as well as offering a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

All 'book on the day' appointments at the Surgery are released at 8.00 a.m. for the same day. If you wish to book one of these appointments please phone at 8.00 a.m.


***Please note that there is no longer a prescription telephone line to the Surgery for ordering repeat prescriptions. To order your prescription please phone the Surgery number, 0114 2697505, and press Option 1 for reception. Alternatively 
phone our Fitzalan branch site on tel. 0114 2889777. Please phone after 11.00 am Monday to Friday to order your prescription.
