We have two nurses, Senior Nurse Jacqueline Phoenix and Practice Nurse Dawn Russell. They provide a range of nursing services including dressings, ear 'syringing, immunisations, injections and cervical smears. Both have intensive primary care experience and are happy to advise on common illnesses and injuries as well as giving dietary and other life style advice. Female patients may also wish to discuss contraception and menopausal issues with them. They are valuable members of the team. They run Clinics for Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Airways Disease, Diabetes, Triage, INR, Healthy Heart, and Hypertension. They also give travel advice. Immunisations include influenza and pneumovax.

Our Health Care Assistants are Keeley Townend and Lisa Maynard. They hold regular clinics for blood tests which have been ordered by a doctor. Blood pressure checks and new patient assessments are also carried out, plus a variety of other services, as well as providing administration support for the Practice Nurses.

Our Practice Manager, Mrs Lynn Martin is responsible for the day-to-day management of the practice. She plays a major role in planning and organising the medical services we provide. If you have any suggestions or questions regarding these services the Manager can be contacted at the surgery.

Medical Secretaries

We have two Secretaries. They are responsible for providing a full secretarial service for the practice, both NHS and private referrals, and for day-to-day administration of our computer system etc.

Administrative Staff

We also employ a small number of administrative staff.

Receptionist Supervisor

The Receptionist Supervisor is Nicola Harrison who is responsible for overseeing an efficient and effective reception service on a day-to-day basis, and ensuring "The Patient Experience" is maintained.

Receptionists

We have eight receptionists who are experienced and regularly attend specialist courses qualifying them for their demanding job. They can probably answer many of your questions, or suggest the correct person for advice.

Please note that the Reception staff act at all times in accordance with guidelines given to them by the doctors and Practice Manager.

We have the services of a Physiotherapist, who holds a weekly clinic at the surgery and whose appointments are only by referral from the doctor.
